Launch of first Women’s League

JUBA (South Sudan) - We are delighted to announce the launch of the first ever women’s local league starting this week with six teams competing across a 2-month season.

In partnership with Central Equatoria State Basketball Association (CESBA) the league will see games played everyday at the Nimra Talata Basketball Stadium.

The first games will take place this week on Friday 9 September at 5pm CAT.

The six teams competing in the league are: Nile Legends, Fulla Stars, Mighty 64, Dove Queens, Oil Starlets and Golden Heroines.

We want to thank CESBA for again partnering with our Federation to deliver on another local league growing the game in the country.
